Darren Finestone graduated
from Columbia University in 1991 with a BA in Political
Science and a minor in film. While at Columbia,
Darren was an active scholar and a member of the
Varsity football team. After graduating, Darren
moved to San Francisco where he acted as a tutor
for Scholarship athletes at UC Berkeley. He also
donated his time as a Physical Education teacher
for children in kindergarten through eighth grade,
as well as becoming a Big Brother to an 8 year
old boy.
Darren furthered his education at Pepperdine Law
School where he spent a semester abroad in London,
focusing his studies on International Law. Upon
graduation, Darren was admitted to the California
bar in 1995. After practicing law for a short time,
Darren went in to the Equipment Finance industry.
The top salesman at two different lease companies
from 1998 to 2003, Darren used his diverse background
to excel in the industry.
In 2003, Darren founded Lion
Capital where after two years, he expanded the
company to 10 employees funding over $30 million in
equipment cost and started a number of major vendor
accounts. Currently, Darren is a managing director
for Global Finance Group. He is married to a
wonderful woman, Tammy, and has two beautiful
children, Jade and Tai. |
